Statement of Purpose: To show God’s Love in Every way Possible to the Local Community
Our vision is to witness and evangelise through our everyday contacts with people in the community, to enable them to feel comfortable and at home on our premises, so that in time they will feel confident to join us for worship, and then we will be able to introduce then to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our church premises are used by several community based groups: Alzheimers support group, Breakaway group for parents under 25 yrs of age and their tots, Midwife’s support group for single Mums, Friends League of Q.E.2 Hospital, Karate group for children and young adults.
We also welcome ‘The Mixed Group’ who hold events during the year to raise funds for a Christmas Day dinner and entertainment for the elderly and lonely.
We are currently having building work carried out to include facilities for the disabled and a general refurbishment to the entrance of the halls. We hope that phase of the work will be completed by November 2005. This work will be partly funded by the £27,000 that we have raised through our own efforts.
All this to help us fulfil our Mission Statement that: This church exists to reach out and make dedicated followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.
